Hi
Just curious to know if this is standard practice as this was my first fitting for a new set of clubs.
After my fitting by a recognized Titelist fitter, I requested a copy of the specs, as being a tech guy, I wanted t know exactly what I was being fitted for.
To my surprise, I was denied access to this information, and just given a vague verbal clarification.
I was told he was only able to give this information to the pro shop I would be ordering my irons from.
After ordering them from my pro shop, I asked for same information to be given to me....again denied, stating they need to protect themselves as I could just shop around for the best price.
Forgive me if I am wrong, but isn't that my right if I wanted to shop around for the best deal?
I was still going to get the AP1 714's, so what does it matter to them who I buy them from?
All I wanted to know was what was the lie angle I had been fitted for, the steel shafts being supplied, as well as the shafts for my hybrid.
I was told....Diamana blue stiff and s300 shafts. and lie of 2 degrees.
This tell me absolutely nothing and has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
I feel a game of deception is being played out and would be extremely hesitant to purchase Titelist in the future, let alone recommend them.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
