Titleist Tips | Control Your Wedge Distance Athletically

From Skip Guss On September 25, 2020

Not all of us have access to pristine practice facilities, but as Titleist staff member Skip Guss, owner of GolfRite in Southborough, Massachusetts, demonstrates in this video, all you need to dial in... your full wedge shot distances is a shag bag of slightly used Pro V1s, a few visual landmarks that you can pace off and a little imagination.

For landmarks in this practice drill, Skip uses three different bunkers in the short game area at Titleist's Manchester Lane Test Facility. Trusting his eyes, his feel and just one Vokey SM8 wedge, Skip shows how you can hit wedges near, far and every distance in between. All you need is a little practice and trust in your own athleticism.
