The Need For Speed

From Justin Parsons On April 05, 2022
The modern golf game is built on power. Statistics show that there's a distinct advantage to hitting the ball farther. Not to mention the fact that hitting the ball far is a lot of fun.

As
... Titleist staff member Justin Parsons shares in this video, there are three main areas you can address to find more distance off the tee:

1. Strength Training, Conditioning and Nutrition (Build a stronger, fitter body and you'll be able to swing the driver faster).
2. Equipment (Take advantage of new technological advances that you'll experience in products like the Titleist TSi driver. Get properly fit and optimize your launch conditions and maximize distance).
3. Technique (Refining how your body moves and how well you deliver the center of the driver face to the ball is something you can take advantage of right away).

One simple distance hack that you can try the next time you play or practice is Justin's tip to let your trail foot flair out a bit more than you normally would. This will allow your trail hip to turn a little more in the backswing, resulting in a longer backswing. The longer the swing, the more time the clubhead has to accelerate and the more potential you'll have to send the ball a long way.
