Use a Hammer to Check Your Hinge

From Jennifer Hudson On August 21, 2020

Unable to get to the golf course to work on your swing? Titleist Staff Member Jennifer Hudson shows us how to use a hammer to check your hinge and follow through in your golf swing.

The... Drill:

Get in your golf posture and grip a hammer so that the head of the hammer is pointing towards the ground. Take a 3/4 length backswing - if the head of the hammer is pointing away from your body, as if you could tap and "break the glass" behind you with the hammer, you're properly hinging the golf club in your backswing.

On your through swing, swing through the ball to where you have almost completed your swing. If the head of the hammer looks as if it could tap and "break the glass" in front of you, you are properly releasing the club.
