Berger, Henderson, Langer and Homa lead 7-win week for Titleist golf ball players

The winning ways continued around the globe for Titleist this week, as Pro V1 and Pro V1x players claimed seven titles across the worldwide professional tours.

Leading the way, Titleist golf ball loyalist Daniel Berger (Pro V1x) , playing in his first Sunday final pairing, won the FedEx St. Jude Classic for his maiden PGA Tour title. On the LPGA Tour Titleist golf ball loyalist Brooke Henderson (Pro V1) birdied the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to win the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship for her first career major championship title. Titleist golf ball loyalist Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) won the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship for the third consecutive year and at the Rust-Oleum Championship, Titleist Brand Ambassador Max Homa (Pro V1) came from behind to win his second career Web.com Tour title.

Joining Berger, Henderson, Langer and Homa in the winner’s circle around the globe were Titleist Pro V1x loyalist Dan McCarthy (GolfBC Championship), Pro V1x loyalist Rohan Blizard (Lanhai Open) and Titleist Brand Ambassador SangYeop Lee (Descente Korea Munsingwear Matchplay).

In Memphis, following a three-hour weather delay, Daniel Berger (Pro V1x) closed with a 3-under-par 67 en route to a 13-under-par 267 victory total.

The 23-year-old finished three shots clear of three players, including Titleist Brand Ambassador Steve Stricker (Pro V1x) to become the 13th first-time winner this season.

THE COUNTS: A total of 111 players in the field trusted a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, nearly seven times the nearest competitor with 16 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice among players in the hybrids category (33) as well as the irons category with 46 sets in play.

Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (215) category and Scotty Cameron putters were the top choice among players with 62 putters in play.

Brooke Henderson (Pro V1) overcame a three-shot deficit on the final nine at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, closing with a bogey-free 6-under-par 65 - the best round of the week at Sahalee - to reach the playoff with a 6-under 278 total in regulation. She captured the title with a birdie on the first playoff hole.

The 18-year old Henderson became the second-youngest winner in a major championship.

It marked the second career LPGA Tour title for Henderson who won in Portland last year.

Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) converted a 12-foot birdie putt on the final hole for his one-shot victory at the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship.

It marked the seventh senior major title for the 58-year-old, including his fifth in the last 11.

Langer owned a three-shot overnight lead before closing with a 3-over-par 73 to finish at one-over-par 281.

It was the highest winning score in the history of the event that was first contested in 1983.

Langer became the oldest winner in the history of the tournament and earned a spot once again for the 2017 PLAYERS Championship.

The win is the third of the year for Langer, who captured the Chubb Classic in February and the Regions Tradition major championship last month in Alabama.

Langer has now climbed to third on the PGA TOUR Champions victory list with 28.

At the Web.com Tour's Rust-Oleum Championship, Homa closed with a 5-under-par 67 for a one-stroke victory over Pro V1x golf ball loyalists Josh Teater and John Mallinger

The 25-year old posted a 13-under-par 275 victory total and jumped from 52nd to ninth on the Web.com Tour money list. The top 25 at the end of the regular season earn PGA Tour cards

THE COUNTS: Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the event with 95 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 23.

Titleist was also the top choice in irons (41) and wedges (164).

On the MacKenzie Tour Canada, Titleist golf ball loyalist Dan McCarthy (Pro V1x) captured the inaugural GolfBC Championship in decisive fashion, firing four consecutive rounds in the 60’s en route to a 25-under-par 259 victory total.

After opening with a pair of 66’s, McCarthy followed up a third round 8-under-par 63 with a closing 7-under-par 64. He finished seven shots clear of his nearest competitor for his second victory in three starts.

McCarthy won the Freedom 55 Financial with a birdie on the final hole in May.

THE COUNTS: Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the event with 97 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than four times the nearest competitor with 21.

Titleist golf ball loyalist Rohan Blizard (Pro V1x) captured the rain-shortened Lanhai Open by one shot over two players, including fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Zecheng Dou (Pro V1x).

Blizard fired a 3-under-par 69 to post a three-round total of 10-under-par 206 before unexpected heavy rain and an unplayable golf course forced the cancellation of the final round.

With his first victory of the season, Blizard moves into third on the PGA Tour China Order of Merit.

SANGYEOP LEE’S Winning Setup: Pro V1x golf ball, 915 D3 (8.5º) driver, 915F (13.5°) fairway metal, 816 H1 (17°) hybrid, 716 T-MB (4) and MB (5-PW) irons, Vokey Design SM4 pitching (48.08), gap (52.08) and lob (58.08) wedges, Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter.

It was an all-Titleist Pro V1x finale at the Descente Munsingwear Match Play, where Titleist Brand Ambassador SangYeop Lee edged InnChoon Hwang 1-up with a par on the 18th hole of the championship match to win his first career KPGA Tour title.

Lee was 4-down through 13 holes before winning the final five holes.

SangHyun Park (Pro V1) defeated fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador ByungJun Kim (Pro V1x) 2-up in the consolation match.

All of the eight quarter finalists relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
