Titleist Brand Ambassador Dominic Bozzelli (Pro V1x) fired four consecutive rounds in the 60’s to win the inaugural Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship for his first Web.com Tour title.
The 25-year-old closed with a 4-under-par 68 at Corales Golf Club en route to a 24-under 264 victory total.
"This is a big relief,” said Bozzelli after the victory. “I really wanted to win this year. I think I'm pretty close to locking up that card.”
Bozzelli finished four shots clear of three players, including Titleist golf ball loyalist Roberto Diaz (Pro V1) and vaulted from 37th to sixth on the Web.com Tour money list with the win.
“I’m going to enjoy this one for sure,” Bozzelli continued, “but I'd like to try and get another one. The goal was to get onto the PGA Tour. Getting this win changes things. The win will help my confidence. I think the sky's the limit from here."
The top 25 on the Web.com money list at the end of the regular season earn PGA Tour cards.
THE COUNTS: Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship with 102 players trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nearly five times the nearest competitor with 21.
