    Geoff Ogilvy and Mike Clayton have launched a brand new pro golf tournament in Melbourne: The Sandbelt Invitational. Dec. 20-23

    It will be held on 4 world-class courses: Royal Melbourne, Yarra Yarra, Peninsula Kingswood and Kingston Heath.

    Since the Presidents Cup in December 2019, Australia has not had much competitive golf. The Australian Open has been cancelled two years in a row and Australian golfers are eager to watch live competitive golf.

    This is definitely something to look forward to :) I can't wait to watch some live competitive golf and what better place than The Melbourne Sandbelt.

    Simply amazing. This will be a fantastic experience to watch, probably world class golfers play on fabulous courses.

    The tournament was a total success with a truly mixed field made up of men and women, young and older, professionals and amateurs.

    Overall & Men’s Pro Champ: Brady Watt

    Women’s Pro Champ: Grace Kim

    Men’s Amateur Champ: Jye Pickin

    Women’s Amateur Champ: Jeneath Wong

    They played in four of Melbourne’s world-renowned Sandbelt courses:

    Day 1
    Kingston Heath
    20th December 2021

    Day 2
    Royal Melbourne
    West Course
    21st December 2021

    Day 3
    Yarra Yarra
    22nd December 2021

    Day 4
    Peninsula Kingswood
    South Course
    23rd December 2021

    I hope this tournament gains some momentum and happens again next year.
