Hey I am currently using  a Titleist 907-D1  9.5 degree    YS-6 shaft stiff I was at the driving range the other week and they had a launch monitor there I have a swing speed of around 108 to 114 with the highest at 120 I hit the ball a long way with most in carry not much roll at all but I spray it high long and right when i miss it it and I do this more than I like .

    Any suggestions?

Oh by the way I'm A big barrel chested guy 6 foot 2 if that makes a difference

    Dave,

With regards to fitting a driver, there are many variables to take into consideration.  Some of which will include ball speed, launch trajectory and spin rates.  By optimizing all variables, you will deliver maximum distance, control and consistency.

Your swing speed is higher than most and with what you have described, my first reaction is that you are spinning the ball to much (without knowing your launch trajectory).  There are a few different options we could do to bring those spin rates down.  I strongly believe that a proper fitting with a fitting expert and you will be fit for the right head model and shaft combination that will help you hit more consistent shots.  It is very difficult to fit someone without actually seeing their swing.

If you need help finding a local fitter, please give our Customer Service team a call at 1-877-928-8898 ext 2 for the club department and we will point you in the right direction.
