So I recently purchased titleist Ap1's and I'm hitting them really well but I was wondering if I should get fit to see if I can get even more performance out of the irons? I'm hitting stiff shafts, I hit a medium trajectory, I use pro v1 balls and I'm usually anywhere from 78-85 on a par 72. I used to consistently hit in the 70's when I was 16-19 years old, due to work and life my game has got less consistent. I'm trying to get back into it more now and hoping to improve my handicap. Where could I get fit in the Newmarket area? Thanks!

    Hi Brandon,

Our Titleist National Fitting Center is located at Eagles Nest Golf Club in Maple.  While it is not in Newmarket, it is about a 20 minute drive south down Dufferin...located at Dufferin and Major Mackenzie.  You can schedule a fitting there by either calling 877.928.8878 or email tfc_canada@acushnetgolf.com .

After your fitting, please let us know how it went and how the performance of your AP1's has improved.

    All the best,

    Thanks Mitch,

I'm going to book a fitting appointment with Chad, I was going to buy a few wedges this week, should I wait and see what lofts and bounce are best for me? I have never been fitted so I'm not to sure of the process. I will definetly let you guys know how my experience gos and what the results are after. I'm glad I found this site. Thanks!

    Hi Brandon,

We're glad you found this site too! Please feel free to post as frequently as you like about whatever golf related subjects you may have an interest in.  We also add inside-the-ropes content almost daily so you can browse around the site for that as well.

If you are booking an Iron/Short Game Fitting then I would suggest waiting to purchase your wedges.  Dialing in loft, lie and bounce for your wedges is EXACTLY what we do during a fitting.  We also look to minimize yardage gaps and optimize the spin, performance and trajectory you are looking for in your wedge composition.

It is actually quite surprising how many high performing amateur players, CPGA Club Professionals and even Tour Players spend countless hours dialing in their wedge compositions, yet the regular golfer demand for wedge fittings is far less then driver and iron fittings. Wedges are key scoring clubs and the right fit is vital to lowering your scores. We think that your experience at the National Fitting Centre will help you out tremendously in choosing the right wedge composition for your game.

If you need any further clarification on how our Club Fitting process works you can learn more here http://www.titleist.ca/clubfitting/ .

Meanwhile, please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions or comments.

    Cheers,

Mitch D - Team Titleist Canada
