    Team Titleist,

I am eagerly awaiting the 913 and plan on having one fit and ordered for the 2013 season. My question is regarding shaft length and the influence it has on swing weight. All fittings i've attended in the past (regardless of manufacture) have a variety of shaft flexs and weights but never offer a shorter shaft to try with a properly weighted head. I have had fittings where the rep puts a 3 wood shaft in, but the test is not a true representation of what would come from the factory.

My goal is to be fit to a driver with a shaft length from 43-43.5". I average more than necessary distance but if there's any downfall in my game its fariways in regulation. Is there anywhere I can get fit that would have a more comprehensive selection of shafts and heads?

    Cheers

    Hi Jake S,
We can indeed fit shorter length drivers with appropriate weights at our National Fitting Centre and Regional Fitting Centres. The closest Titleist Regional Fitting Centre to you is located at Country Hills Golf Club in Calgary.

Related to 913, we are still waiting to receive shipment of the new 913 weight systems in our Regional Fitting Centres.  Thus, it may be a couple of weeks which may mean into the opening of next season before you can experience the full fitting (with weight adjustment) as you have explained above.  However, you could get fit with a shorter shaft while waiting for the Centre to receive the weight kit.

Here is more information on the Titleist Regional Fitting Centre at Country Hill Golf Club:

Excellent. I didn't realize as a private club that they would service the public.

    Hi Mitch,

Given that Country Hills is closed for the season I looked around for other shops that could fit me while my swing is still in shape. I found that Dave and Ted's at the RCGA centre in Calgary has your fitting system. Is it as comprehensive as the Country Hills fitting cart?

    Cheers!

    Jake,

I apologize for the tardiness of the reply, the post had slipped through!

In regards to Country Hills, they are one of our 3 Regional Fitting Centres located across the nation and Ted and Dave's is an Advanced Fitting Works system.  Both systems have been outfitted with a wide array of shafts that we feel confident you would walk away with the proper shaft.  However, the Country Hills system will be a little more comprehensive with regards to quantitiy of shafts; head counts are the same.  You will find a couple more exotic/up charge shafts and more stock or non up charge shafts than anywhere else in Alberta.  Either route you take you will be in great hands!
