Another course visited by my TT Bag Tag.

Pinehurst #2. took advantage of their special winter offering and drove up to play on the site of the U.S. Men's and Women's open for 2014.

Cool weather and a fair bit of snow on the sides of the fairways, but that just made it a little more interesting :)

The weather warmed up and I had a chance to join some other friends from Vespra Hills in Barrie down in Little River South Carolina...

Wow....so much traveling going on here. Great photos. My TT bag tag has only been in Ontario so far. Hopefully it gets further afield soon. It still gets attention no matter which course it goes to though.

South Carolina was certainly warmer than back home in Ontario, but I have to admit that Florida weather is much much warmer. However - it has been very windy the last few weeks. I hear that is normal for March.

I played the Municipal Course at Pompano Beach as well as a hidden gem near Port St. Luci which is called Meadowood. Only $52 for 18 holes with a cart and March is prime season. Worth a look if you are ever in the area.

The TT bag Tag still promotes discussion with many people about the brand. Kind of cool to be part of the "Team"

Well - My winter getaway is coming to an end :(

Saddest of all is the fact that it looks like things are not warming up much in Ontario so it will be a while before we get out on the links back home.

One last destination in Florida where my TT Bag Tag got to show off...

This was a neat course. A good challenge and at only $35 for green fees with cart it was a SUPER deal. I hooked up with 7 others from my home course (Vespra Hills) in Barrie while they were also on their vacations.

If anyone is going to be in the Stuart Florida area - This is a must play !

It's been a while since I posted some pics...  I seldom carry my camera when playing around home and since I don't carry a cell phone, I don't have a way of taking pictures without my camera. Anyway - I was at a couple of local courses over the last week where bringing my camera was called for. Here is my TT Bag Tag (and my clubs of course !

The first one is at Hockley Valley Resort (near Orangeville, Ontario.

This is a very nice track as it is built around a Ski hill. That means there are a lot of elevation changes which make one think long and hard about how much to take off on a VERY elevated par three. Lots of fun.

If posts do get placed in order of submission, this one would be the second one I had my camera available.

Station Creek is near Gormley, Ontario. I was there for a fund raiser scramble tournament for the Sunnybrooke Hospital Burn Unit. A nice track with 36 holes owned by club link. I played the South Course and our team had a lot of fun. Unfortunately our 5 under score didn't even come close to the 18 under winners :)

Now I have to remember to bring my camera to my home course to get a picture there some day soon.

Small world Darius. I've played that tourney many times as my wife works on the burn unit at Sunnybrook

I will have to remember to take time and look for a TT Bag Tag next time I am at a tournament - Who knows hoow many other fellow TT members I have missed !

I finally remembered to take my camera to my home course and get a picture at the entrance to Vespra Hills Golf Course just on the outskirts of Barrie.

I had to laugh when a couple of people drove into the entrance as I was taking my clubs out of the trunk near the road. When I saw them in the parking lot, they asked me if there was a new bag-drop that they had not heard about :)

    Darius,

You and the clubs are well traveled. Must have been nice to get away during such a brutal winter. I played the same four Myrtle Beach area courses about ten years ago. Glen Dornoch was always one of my favourite courses in the area. Great set of finishing holes.

I don't have a TT bag tag but I hope to get a few pics at some famous courses later this summer.

New course I played this weekend in Kanata (near Ottawa). It is called Loch March. A very nice course with many interesting holes. Lots of water comes into play along the course, and a GPS or a range finder is a bonus when trying to figure out how far you need to hit it for either a lay-up or to clear a hazard. Sorry the TT Bag Tag did not come out to clear on this picture, but the sign was so huge I had to stand back a long way to get it all in.

Thought I'd add a special TT bag visit.

The Canadian Men's Mid Amateur played at Barrie country club.

Course was tough but fair and the greens were simply fantastic. Lots of break and fast!

The Barrie Country Club was an outstanding host for the event and one of the best I have attended.

    Cheers Team!

I don't have a TT bag Tag yet, however, I did see 2 TT bag tags in March at the Chula Vista GC while wintering in  Ajijic, Mexico. I  didn't find the (Canadian) owners though.  They had completed their round and were sipping cervesas in the warm sunshine.

    Torrey - Noth and South

    Maderas golf and country club

Well the TT bag tag has seen some serious travel in the last few weeks. This one is from the 18th green of the Jubilee Course at St. Andrews. The Old Course Hotel and the St. Andrews Links Clubhouse are in the background.

This one is from the previous day, when I played both Carnoustie and the Old Course. Walking off the first tee with a caddie at the Old Course in the afternoon.

Hopefully I'll have a few more when I get a chance to go through the rest of the photos from the trip.

And last but not least, St. Vigil Seis in Northern Italy. The most scenic course I have ever played.

    GREAT PICS TRAVIS !!!!!

Unfortunately I did not have my bag tag when I played those courses.

I would imagine you had the odd individual over the pond asking you about the TT Bag Tag.

Hope you played well, had nice weather, and brought home a bucket full of memories :)

Thanks guys, the trip was truly amazing. Weather was great and the courses were magical. I was able to play a couple of good rounds but jet lag seemed to have the better of me. Scotland was buzzing, packed full of golf fans as it was the week of the Ryder Cup and the week before the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. Took some work and luck to get on all the courses but it went smoothly. Even got to play with some fellow Canadians at Kingsbarns. They were part of a large group from Red Deer, AB over for golf and the Ryder Cup.

Already thinking of doing another trip there. There are so many great courses... but just not enough time to play them all.

    T.
