Do I really need my 3FD and 5F????

    I am wondering whether I need to carry a 3 and 5F if they produced basically the same distance as my 21H? 

    I gave the D - 21H spread -shortening my bag  a try during our recent Club C and apart from a misadventure in a pot bunker I faired well.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated - cause i am heading to Olympic, Harding Park and Pebble in early Oct and I would hate to have a caddy pull the 3 or 5F only for me to bail to the 21 H. Besides the baggage handlers might appreciate it as well :)

    I was in a similar dilemma at times. I have a rescue that I can hit on average around 220, and a 913F that goes a similar distance. The big difference for me is that one is a low runner and the second one is a high flight with a softer landing. As such, I still carry both as it is nice to have the choice when playing in the wind or if I need to carry a bunker that guards the front of the green.

    So the question is - although they basically give you the same distance, is there a difference in the ball flight? If so - that may be a handy thing to have in the bag when your preferred shot choice is not an option.
