  1. Just purchased a 913 fd 13.5 regular S 72 Diamana from a Titleist retailer.  I noticed the band on the shaft indicated a 19 degree and is indeed 42 in instead of 43 in but it also has a blue weight instead of the regular red.  Is this a problem? I'm looking for control off the tee.  Would this have been a special order for someone or did someone just switch the shafts on me?  Thanks.

You can always go back to the store and try to return it. Personnally I replace all my stock shaft by the project X blue shafts. Another option is get a fitting by a professional you will see if it works for you or not it might be the best shaft that fits you after all.

I suspect that someone switched shafts from a 19 degree 913f at the store/proshop. And since it was an inch shorter, then switched the weight to get it closer to a standard D3 swing weight.

    Gerry,

With regards to the club, stock product ships with a bar code that highlights the SKU and UPC.  If the description of the club varies from the actual head then due to the interchangability of the head / shaft there is a possibility it was changed at store level.

We would stock our 13.5* as a 43" shaft.

  5. Ryan, will that affect the playability?  Does the blue weight compensate enough for the shorter shaft?  Should I get a 1 inch shaft extension?  Thanks for your info.

    Gerry,

The red vs. blue weight will not affect playability.

The red weight is our 9 gram weight and is typically found in the stock standard length metals.  The blue weight is our 11 gram weight and is typically used when trying to accomplish a heavier swing weight.  Since the club is 1" short of the standard, the swing weight is brought down and the heavier weight in the head will bring it back closer to the stock D2 weight, not entirely up to the recommended weight but you should be around C7 (depends on the grip as well).

I hope this helps, if you require any further clarification, please feel free to reach out.

  7. Travis, will that affect the playability of this club?
