    I am a loyal pro V1x player and have been using the titleist lower spin ProV since the star model first came out.   I want to first say that the 2013x is most likely the greatest ball for overall performance ever made. 

    That being said, I am a former aspiring long drive guy who is looking into playing high level amateur golf for 3 years prior to attempting the next level.  

    My swing speed is avg 118mph with driver bit when I step on it I can push it to 129-133.   I'm averaging 312 yards.  

    I'm finding the even the pro v1x is spinning too much for my with the mid to short irons. ( spun back a 5iron from 228). Around the greens and with the putter the ball is amazing and off the tee its launching high (14.9Degreeswith 2998 spin rate)

    My question is will titleist take the step others have and release a 3rd version , basically a 2007 model of the X with the 2013 durability and bright paint ? If so it would literally be the king of kings for serious high speed players.  

    Thanks for any input.   ( BTW will never use any ball but titleist, its truly the ball I trust )

    The 2007 Pro V1x was a great ball. Initially I was upset that the parting line changed from being flat to the staggered wave but after playing the ball I soon forgot about it, the new ball was amazing.

    A lower launching and spinning Pro V with long clubs would be absolutely perfect if the short iron spin and greenside feel could be retained. I would love to play one as well.  The NXT Tour S almost fits the bill but it just doesn't seem to have the same feel around the greens.

    Personally - I love the ProV1x as I like the amount of spin I get around the greens and the distance off the tee. Unfortunately, I am but a lowly amateur with a 7 handicap and my swing speed with the driver is only 93 MPH so my drives are no where near the 312 yds noted by Mike. As for spinning back a 5 iron - I don't think that has ever happened to me :) Wedges yes, (now and again) but my five will often bite enough to stop which allows me to attack the pin when I am swinging well.

    I find the ProV1x spins a little less than the ProV1 and gives me more distance so that is why I choose it. I have not actually gone for a ball fitting to see which ball would give me the best performance, so that may be may gift to myself next season.
