I just accidently clicked on the the titleist USA site and noticed the sweepstakes they have OMG.   The retail value of it is over 4 grand      I'm not trying to be disrespectful because I know they operate under different laws and are the main golf market in the world so I understand the need to allocate more to them.

I'm just curious as a titleist loyalist.  I would be willing to do more testing , more r and d , more surveys ect ect to help out. To me if we can't get the big giveaways we mine as well test more balls or gloves ect.    I say forget the sweepstakes here let us try and test more products, we all want to be more involved .   like it or not the tour players are not your best feedback , the customers are   I do not play titleist because of there ball rank or because of there presence on tour , I'm sure I'm not alone here but I play titleist because you make hands down the best equipment on the planet.    Let us amateurs your customers test the newer products from time to time. Whether it be 12 balls rather than 3 , or sometimes a driver or a wedge or glove ect.     We all want to help

We all love this game and are loyal to this brand, not its tour players nor the contests.   If titleist dropped ofd the tour suddenly , I would still play titleist period.

    Thank you

Mike - I think your observation regarding the U.S. market is spot on given that for a significant part of the U.S. they not only have 10 times the population base to deal with, but their golf season runs much much longer than ours. As such - I can understand why the marketing budget for the U.S. would be significantly higher than here in Canada.

I have to admit I am thrilled with the opportunities I have had with Titleist over the last few years since I purchased my clubs and got involved in the discussion forum. I can honestly say that none of the previous companies whose products I used have ever been as nice to me as Titleist has through the TT concept.

I got my TT Bag Tag and was thrilled to be able to display it proudly. I have been thrilled with the product, and my game has certainly improved since switching to Titleist.

All that being said - The latest round of R&D regarding the Test Balls is definitely showing how much the TT members are thrilled to be part of the process. I think we all feel "important" to Titleist to be given the chance to provide feedback on a prototype. I don't know if what I got is a new ball, or if I am part of the placebo group in a blind study, but either way it give me a good feeling to be part of the process. That is truly the kind of thing that builds brand loyalty and a lot of "word of mouth" advertising.

Who knows - perhaps some day a few TT members may be given some prototype clubs to try out. Even if they need to be returned after a certain number of rounds so that the technicians at Titleist can review them for wear and tear to see how they hold up after being played by those of us who hit them off center and from the dirt more than the tour players...

High fives to TT Canada for doing what they do. Here's hoping that they continue to make us (the average golfer) feel like we are something special.

I have to agree with Darius, Canadian market is small peanuts compared to U.S.  Population, year round golf and PGA market warrants a huge US budget.  Like Darius, I  to am thankful for Team Titleist, be it allowing for a great forum to offer opinions and product insight, receive balls to test before the average golfer will ever get a chance to hit the latest new revolutionary ball.  My TT bag tag signifies that I am special to Titleist.  Brand loyalty in today's golf market is rare, but I look at it this way, you want quality, be it balls, clubs, shoes, quality costs.  There are cheaper balls than ProV's, you won't find them in my golf bag.  What you will find is a Titleist stand bag, 712 MB's, 913 woods, Vokey wedges, a scotty putter and either ProV1's or yellow NXT's.  I play Titleist because I believe in the product, no I trust the product 100%!  This is why I play the Titleist brand and have the TT hanging from my bag proudly!  My one and only hole in one was in 2007 at Woodington Lake GC and my ball was a ProV1 !!!  Thank you for TT!,,,great golfers be it pro or weekend hacker trust Titleist like I do!  Continue to be great! Im the same. I will have to agree with Darius it is small here in Canada but hopefully that will change and we will get some of the stuff that the States gets. Its just a matter of time. Golf is growing here and they will notice the market is here too. Cheers Steve H.
