Here it is - November 1st and the end of another official season for golf. Sure, a few will still get some rounds in if you live in the southern most parts of the province but according to the GAO only scores posted for games played prior to November 1st can be counted for handicap purposes. So I see that as the official end of the season and anything else is now just a gift from mother nature and a chance to prove to our families that we truly are crazy.
Barring the off chance that the weather could warm up (it is snowing in Barrie today) and some of the courses stay open, it will now be time to clean up the clubs and sort through the bag to pull out all the old balls, broken tees, loose change, and snack bar wrappers that have accumulated through the season.
Over all it was a great year. I had a fitting at the Titleist National Fitting Center for my 913F and got it into play along with my 913 D2 driver and my 912 AP1 irons. I had a chance to test out some new prototype golf balls and demo the new line of 915 woods as part of Team Titleist. Best of all - I got in a lot of golf in through the season and had a lot of great experiences with my friends as we all shared some good times out on the links and in the club house.
I wish all my fellow TT members a safe and hopefully short winter and look forward to seeing what kind of interesting posts we share on this site as everyone finds they perhaps have more time to sit and think about the game now that they can't go out and play.
Hopefully some of you get a chance to head south for a bit through the winter and can share some stories and pics so that the rest of us can live vicariously through your postings :)
