    We adopted the numerical approach to golf ball identification in 1945.

    Now we want to know...What's your preferred number to play the ‪#‎1 ball in golf‬?

    We'll randomly select one (1) winner from the replies in this thread on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Noon EST who will receive one (1) dozen Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls of their choice.

    Preferred number for me is #1.... has to be the #1 when teeing it up on Par 3's which helps focus on trying to get a Hole In One, I've had just one, lol.  If I was standing over a ball that read 6, that just wouldn't work for me on a par three.  

    Besides, it's the Number One ball in golf, I rest my case.

    So far I just play whatever number that I pull off the shelf but if I could choose only one number it would be 11.

    Hi Mitch! I love the old graphic of the ball! I was raised in a somewhat superstitious household so I have a couple of favourite numbers to play ....they are either numbers 1,2,3 or 8. Number 8 is the favourite followed by number 1. I try at all costs to avoid buying balls with Number 4! hahahaha ...it is a bad luck number! D

    Hi Mitch,

        I like to play double digit balls in general. When I get them personalized I like to put 95 on them for my lowest score to date.

    Unfortunately I do not have a special number that I prefer. For me - as long as it is a ProV1 in the cooler weather and a ProV1x  in the warmer weather I am happy :)  The number means little to me other than a way to identify the difference between the ball I tee'd off with and my provisional on those (hopefully) rare occasions when I hit into the fescue.

    I love to play high numbers, but my favorite is to play #8s. Flip it sideways and its Infinity. Golf has infinite possibilities and reminds me that anything can happen and never give up. Cheers Team! James G

    I don't usually care about the # except at tournament time when I like to play #1's only

    I'll use any number on a Titleist, but when it comes to a tournament round it has to a Pro V1x with the #1 on it. Something so crisp and clean about that look.

    #13  I have always worn this jersey number on any team sports that I played on.  I consider it my lucky number and will drop some coin on 13 black when I am near a roulette table.

    I use the #36 on my Prov1's and Prov1x's. 36 was my jersey number in baseball, but now I want to shoot a 36 on every 9 holes.....

    My choice is a 6. I always mark my prov1x with 6 red dots also. It always reminds me of our 6 kids!

    My number is 53, MR HOGAN'S greatest year in golf history. I also play 54, the perfect round of golf!!!!!!! Titleist PRO V1X it's not just a golf ball it's the only ball!!! Cheers, Jay

    Lucky #13...

    I woke up to a email from Andre at Acushnet Golf letting me know that I was the winner of the draw.   Whooo Hooo!

    This made my day as I had had a terrible round of golf last night and lost my match. 

    Thanks Team Titleist.  I look forward to playing those #13 ProV1x's
