    Thank you Titleist for including me in your golf ball testing again this year. I came home to a package in the door....a sleeve of prototype test balls. They won't be used now until spring but I am already looking forward to testing them. Thanks for letting me be part of the process.

    How do you get to try out the prototypes? I love the PRO -V1X  and have been using them for years.

    For those of you who are wondering how to participate....you need to fill out your profile 100% AND participate in discussions. I've talked to a few people who have signed up and then expected to get 'free stuff'....they don't realize it doesn't work that way. I can't wait for spring to try them out....with any luck we may get a few days south over the winter to try them out but nothing for sure yet.

    Hi Everyone,
    We select the members who receive Test Prototype Golf balls based on a few different pieces of criteria:
    First, Titleist ball model the Team Titleist Member currently plays as per their Team Titleist Profile. This is why it is VERY important to have your profile completed and accurate.
    Second, the members overall interaction with the Team Titleist website.  That includes profile completion, comments and posts in the discussion forums, blogs etc.

    As a result, some members may receive a shipment that you do not.  This may be a result of one (or both) of the factors above.

    Our US counterparts used this same process up until recently.  Now they have a segmented group of US Team Titleist Members who have opted in to be part of a Test Panel.  We are looking at doing the same here in Canada in the future.

    I Always enjoy being part of a consumer group and Titeist is always good about including us "regular" golfers and receiving our feedback and experiences. Playing with experimental golf ball or trying out equipment rocks my world!

    I received a sleeve of the Test golf balls.  The ones I got were all black; great performance on full shots, pitches, and chip shots.  Guessing it was a ProVi.  Sent my survey in.  Gave one to a friend to try after he badgered me about it.  He found it to be a great ball; wondered if it was one of the new TruSofts.

    The down side to a test panel is that others who may have had a chance in the past to test will be left out. The only ones eligible then would be the elite few. Frank

    Hey Mitch...  What you noted makes a lot of sense. I assumed that since last year some of us tested some new balls, and shortly thereafter Titleist came out with the new version of the ProV1 and ProV1x that we were testing those products. This year I fully expect to see a new version of the Velocity or one of the DT series so I did not expect to be one of the testers.

    Like many others here on the discussion forum, I appreciate all that Team Titleist and your group has done for us, and look forward to returning the favour if called on to test again in the future.

    I've tested them out already and they spin a great deal from anywhere inside 100 yds, great ball!

    It doesn't say anything other than on them. Red number but other than that there is nothing to tell you what they are as Titleist wants an unbiased opinion. I can't wait to try them out in the spring. The ones we tested last fall were really nice but I still don't know what they were. I assume ProV1 but not sure.

    I just tested the new prototype test balls. Think they are Velocity Spin Balls. They carried a bit shorter than the Velocity but held the greens very well

    Hmmm.  I've tested for the past few years but haven't received anything this fall.  Maybe this means a small white box is on the way...
