Jason, Rory, Speith, DJ, are the leaders for the odds makers, but I sort of have a feeling that Shane Lowry just may surprise a number of people this year.

The thing about playing on links courses is that the weather and the wind can make a significant impact on the scoring and given the weather changes so frequently over the pond, one can never predict if they will get the luck of the draw or not.

Regardless of who wins, I have a feeling it will be a tight race right to the end and an exciting tournament to watch :)

Well Stephen, I am going to go with Jordan Spieth ... I just get the feeling that he is approaching it as a chance for "redemption" for the tournament that kind of got away from him last season.

I'm putting my bank on Jordan. Just a feeling but I think he'll blow the field away on the greens.

Darius --- you read my mind too! I was thinking that if there was a "dark horse" for me in this year's Open it would be Shane Lowry! I thought that for pretty much the same reasons as you!

I fancy Shane Lowry or Lee Westwood who is playing well, but just not sure about him in the majors.

I went with DJ for the US Open and I know I'm not going out on any lim saying that he is going to take The Open. I just feel he is going to go on a long run of wins and dominate the game like he should.

My heart is still with Phil though.

I'll pick Adam Scott, no real reason I think he is underrated even though he is 6th in the world.

Okay - none of us picked Stenson, but then again, who would have thought that Henrick Stenson and Phil would be dueling it out as well as they did to both set new records !!!
