Okay - Adam was not using Titleist equipment, but holy crap !!!! A Canadian player shoots 59 in a PGA Tour event? That simply cannot go without a comment !

Congratulations Adam and Congratulations to Canadian golfers everywhere.

A second 59 and it is still January ? Not only that, Kevin Kisner missed a reasonable putt on his 18th hole for his 59 earlier this month only days after Justin Thomas made his.

I am now ready for spring to come so I can get out on the links. There must be something in the air this season and I want to get in on it :)

Best thing was it was on a par 72

Really was a treat to watch.
The more I think of it, would he have preferred to win his fist tournament, or shot the 59??

    Great comments Darius!

I don't mean to reduce the accomplishment of the others like JT or Furyk, but I think it is much more meaningful that his 59 represents -13, coming on a full par 72 course. I believe that he is only the fourth PGA player to do that - joining Al Geiberger, Chip Beck and David Duval -- all of the others have come on either par 71 or par 70 courses with scores of either -11 or -12.

Hopefully it will be a great year for golf in Canada - professionals, amateurs and recreational players alike!

I agree that doing it on a par 72 is that much tougher.
One could argue that on a par 70 course there are fewer par 5's on which to make eagles which should even the odds, but Adam made his 59 at 13 under with 13 birdies !

I saw him play a few years back at the Canadian Open when he was the low amateur. He was good then but I wouldn't have anticipated a 59.
