Mini B.C. golf trip

    Heading to B.C. (Sicamous) for a mini golf trip next week. We are playing Hyde Mtn. on Thursday. Open to suggestions for Friday then we have to head in to Kelowna on Saturday to drop someone off at the airport.

    We were thinking of Talking Rock or Salmon Arm on Friday. Any suggestions other than those two?

    Saturday we were thinking of something other than Predator as we have already played it. Tower Ranch looks like a good alternate. Can anyone suggest a course not too far from the airport. Some feedback about the courses would be fantastic.

    Hi Trevor ... you are in luck as the weather has turned and the courses are in pretry good shape for spring time.

    I think Talking Rock will be your best bet on Friday. A friend just played it last weekend and it was in pretty good shape. It's a good test of golf.

    There us an abundance of courses near the Kelowna airport ... the Quail, the Bear, Tower Ranch, Gallagher's Canyon, the Harvest Club, Black Mountain, so plenty to choose from.

    IT all depends on what you're looking for ... ie: stern test of golf, friendly for higher handicaps, amenities, price points on green fees?

    To start, I'd suggest The Harvest ... easy to find, generous greens but with some undulations, big fairways, a warm up range and a nice restaurant. Good playability too.

    Another would be the Bear ... a Jack Nicklaus design and not far from the airport at all.

    Thanks Dino. We ended up booking Tower Ranch as none of us have played it. This way, when the commercials show up on the golf channel they wont taunt me anymore. Black Mountain is our backup as one of the guys knows one of the pro's there. We might be swayed over there if the price is right. ;)

    I think Talking Rock will be the choice on Friday.
