    New Titleist AVX: The second iteration of the Titleist AVX golf ball has arrived. It features a larger, reformulated low compression core that, combined with a high-flex casing layer, delivers greater ball speed and lower long game spin. It also has a thinner urethane cover for more spin control around greens. It's offered in both white and high optic yellow.

    I tried the AVX quite a bit after it first came out and liked the ball. It played like a high quality Titleist ball and what attracted me the most was the availability in high visibility yellow. I was always a ProV1 and ProV1x player and did not find the change to the AVX cost me any strokes or performance issues. However, now that the ProV line of balls is available in yellow, I went back to buying the ProV's. I will have to try out the second release of the AVX to see how it plays :)
