Okay - The hype is not wasted for the new TSi Driver !
I had a fitting today (a big thank you to Nick Keeler and Rob Gavarkovs) and my decision is made. The new TSi2 was the one that worked best for me. I did try the TSi3 and loved the shape, but the TSi2 just felt better and the results spoke for themselves. I gained club head speed, and a full 10 yards which at my age is an awesome improvement. What I liked the most was the fact that my ball flight seemed so much better and more consistent. Hitting the ball outside gave me the ability to hear the sound which I know means more to some than others. My first thought was that it sounded more solid than my 917D2. Made me think of the old persimmon driver when I first heard it. It sure doesn't play like a persimmon though :)
After settling in on the driver specs it was time to try the fairway metal. Once again, I ended up with a TSi2 in my hands and what I loved was the fact that I could watch it fly in the air, and land on the distant green softly at around 210 yds. I never would have thought that was possible from that distance until I tried this new club !!! My current 913 fairway metal would travel that far, but had to roll out to get there. That is not always possible on many greens that are protected by bunkers or water.
I am sold - No question I need to meet with my club pro this week to get a price and place the order. It is only sad that I will have to wait until next season to put it into play.
I hope to hear from others who get the chance to try the new TSi Metals.
