I keep seeing stories about how the match play format did not produce the top players in world ranking competing on the weekend... Sorry, but that is not how golf works. The player that out plays his competition in each match is the one who moves on. Be it from great play or good bounces the result is earned in the end. Once you get into the top 50 in the world rankings there is very little that separates the players anymore. They are all great ! Billy Horschel pulled off the win this weekend with steadfast play. Great driving, iron play, and putting. He wielded his TSi metal woods masterfully. He earned the win and I found it exciting to watch. It is great to have something different every now and again from the regular stroke play events... Congrats to Billy on hard fought win.
