Price Differences between US and Canada

    Why are the 910 drivers $399 in the US (PGA Superatore - Roswell) and $449 in Canada (Golftown - Ottawa)?  Similar prices differences exist for woods, hybrids, etc. 

    There are no duties.  HST paid at import is recovered at point of sale, and I am sure Titleist does enough importing to essentially negate brokerage.  Currency is at par (or better).  "Smaller Market" arguments make no difference to cost structures / contribution margins.  Shipping within Canada is no more expensive than in the US (except a slightly higher fuel surcharge, but this works out to pennies per driver - not $50). 

    In short, there is no other rational explanation other than Titleist presumes Canadians are willing to pay more.

    What's up with that?

    We'd like to provide some additional information that may help to provide some insight and clarify the situation you have noted.

    - 910 drivers are subject to import duties when they are imported into Canada
    - Freight and brokerage fees are also incurred for bringing products into Canada
    - Products on store shelves are purchased months in advance due to production time, shipping and seasonality

    We strive to ensure that all Titleist products are properly positioned within the Canadian marketplace amongst the competitive set and 910 metals are no exception.  However, it is important to note that as with all products within the Titleist line retail pricing is set by authorized retailers at the point of purchase.

    Check back at your local GT, prices on a lot of products just went down a little
