    fort mcmurray,

Does anyone know if the new 712 CB's have a lower or higher ball flight then the current 710's?

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for the question. We don't have a lot of details right now on the new prototype irons as the tour seeding and validation process has just started.

As always, we'll continue to come to Team Titleist first as new details emerge so be sure to stay tuned.  Thanks a lot.

    fort mcmurray,

Thanks for the reply. Once details are release can you post them here? Also what are the other differences between the current CB and the new CBs? I currently have the AP2's (710) with X100 shaft, 1 degree upright and 1 degree strong (to reduce spin) I was fitted at your Oceanside facility in the summer of 2010...wow what an amazing experience! I have improved with my iron play and am looking for a little less spin and lower flight in my next iron set.

    Thanks

    Jason,

In regards to the 710 CB vs. the 712 CB, there have been subtle changes.   All of our product is tour validated which means the product is seeded to tour players for their direct feedback which plays a crucial role in the finalizing of the product line.  The 710 CB/MB line up had some rave reviews from the PGA players so we did not want to change the irons too much.  The most popular request for a change was the finsh.   The irons went from a Tour chrome to a new Tour preferred satin finish.  This provides a different look at address building confidence for those players.  Some of the design objectives were to maintain Tour proven performance/feel and maintain the address profile which we feel we accomplished and has resulted in several World Wide wins over the past few months with the new 712 irons.

With all of the feedback we recieved from the PGA and major Tours around the world, we wanted to simply update the most popular irons on the PGA tour (710 CB/MB).

  5. First off,Happy 2012 to all, even titleist non-believers..lol I purchased my new CB710's in late September'11 and have had a serious crush on them ever since!! I had played 'blades' for near all of my youth but began to find the miss-hits just a bit to painfull on my hands. For the last 5 years I had been playing gear more suited to painfree fingertips, but on a trip to my favorite golf store agreed to try the CB's,since my pal works there and told me of the success the new irons may bring. All I could say was WOW!! Purposely miss hit a few dozen off the toe and heel. NO pain what so ever and even got some half backed results, not just thoses dreaded shots that start with the letter "s". Bought them on the spot and have/never looked back. Thank you Titleist for bringing joy back to my game!! Regards,Roy H.
  6. Thanks for the read just curious what your handy cap index is because Iam in the market for a new set of irons and really like the CB 712 but not sure if there right for me , I am a 8 handy cap and feel that i would be able to hit them .
