Hi, I bought the original AP2 irons in I believe the first year they came out(spring of 2008 or 2009?) Was there a model number for these ? .... similar to the 710 you see now ? I looked, but don't see any model number. When did the 710 model get released ? Thanks so much.

    Hi Troy,

Great question.  The '7' represents the iron category and the '10' (now a '12') represents the year the irons were or will be released amongst all markets globally.  Traditionally, these numbers were used internally amongst Titleist Associates.  However, you'll tend to see them more often given the behind-the-scenes early exposure we're providing you on Team Titleist.

The tour validation process that you're seeing unfold before your own eyes has been a major part of our R&D process for years. There's a good chance that you'll learn some new terms and procedures that we go through prior to officially launching the irons to the market.

While more specific details will come out about the irons in the weeks/months ahead, please feel free to ask us any questions you may have about the Tour Validation process that is currently underway.

    Regards,
