Is NS Pro modus R flex similar to NS Pro 105 R flex from a stiffness and shaft load stand point?

  1. Hi, I just put an order for a mixed set of 5-6 in 712 CB and 7-pw in 712 MB. I shafted them with new ns pro modus with flex r. Just put the order to my stockist yesteray. I had previously used the original ap2 with ns pro 105 flex r (not Titleist 105t but new from NS Pro). Loved it...most precise and smooth swinging combo I ever had. I wonder if the new modus set up with the mb/cb combo will suit me? Or should I stick with the 105t? I currently have epon 302 with ns pro wt flow 950 flex r. Your thoughts? I am a 10- 12 handicap. With practice a 7-9 handicap. Appreciate your feedback. Was originally thinking of getting the 712 AP2s with the modus instead...or NS pro 105t for risk free option. PS...have 2 yr old boy and pregnant wife...no time to go get fitted : (

    Kelvin,

Are you talking about the NS Pro 105 that we used to carry a long time ago?  The 105 (not 105T) was offered a while ago, but was replaced by the 105T.  The difference in both of those shafts, was the 105T is a little stiffer in the tip section, with the same flight characteristics.  The Modus is more firmer in the tip section then the 105T promoting a lower launch as well, but they are similar in weight.

  3. Hi Cameron, No...I refer to the after market NS Pro 105 sourced directly through my club fitter. 1) would you say the NS Pro modus 3 would play similar to the NS Pro 105 (NS Pro spec...not Titleist) but with a lower flight (which I like) but similar stiffness. 2) would the short irons in the modus be similar in stiffness to the ns pro 950 weight flow? 3) Are the long irons in the modus easier to hit? This remains an NS pro trait...or is it more like a rifle shaft now? Apologies...my initial impressions would be the Modus would play similar in weight and stiffness as the 105 (or 105t)...so I can maintain my swing rythm which I can describe as smooth and upright. I struggle with rifles or DG 400 where I have to put some extra to get the desired result. Hope I am correct. Thanks, Kelvin Thanks, Kelvin
