I picked up a set of Titleist 690.CB at a great price and I am wondering can I get them fitted? I hear people on these forums speaking highly on getting fitted to improve your game. Any positive info will be appreciated.

Absolutely. Take them to your PGA Pro and he can bend them for you.

Thanks Nate for the advice. I will get that done as soon as I return from this deployment.

I was playing with standard lie clubs basically since 1972. When I started playing again in 2006 and upgrading to metal woods, I developed a pull-hook with them. One thing that happened is somehow I went from 5'11 3/4" to 6'1" in 2005. I started standing more upright with woods and that cured the pull hook but I had a hard time with short irons - had to have irons bent upright and the end result was the lie angles were the same as Titleist's standard lie or Ping Blue Dot.

OK, folks, I saw some AP1s (R300 shafts and Lamkin Crossline grips) in the iron bin at Golf Mart for $29 each (all but the 8 iron) so I grabbed the 9 and P and got a free lie angle adjustment. 64* on the 9 and 64.5* on the PW (I already have all my golf club specs charted anyway, so I know exactly what I want). Hitting them dead on the money about 125-130 with the 9 iron and around 110-115 with the PW. I just yanked my Eye 2 9 and PW out of the bag (keeping the 8 iron - can't quite part with it - my favorite iron).

Yes, you can. Go visit your local Titleist rep/ P.G.A. pro, and he/she can fit you properly. They can also let you compare your 690 CB's against some of the newer Titleist irons so that you can see the differences in your irons, and modern technology. Keep us posted and let us know how everything goes.

Thanks David, I was wondering if you could recommend anyone overseas. I am a military service member stationed in Okinawa Japan and wonder if there is a Titleist fitter out here. I know the Japanese play Titleist clubs but don't know the difference between the USA vs Japan version. any info you can provide will be appreciated.

Retired Navy myself (Firecontrolman - gotta wonder why golf and gunnery/missiles are the same: ordnance on target).
