  1. Went in to a golf shop last weekend to try some new drivers and was discouraged from swinging any Titleist drivers due to a 90mph swing speed.  Later at the range, I hit a 909D2, 10.5, standard shaft and it was clearly the best I hit with a more piercing-  yet still high- ball flight than my current png G10 or any of the others I demo-ed.  Coincidentally, I also heard the "only for much better player" discouragement when buying hybrids and now my two Titleist 585Hs are the best clubs in my bag.

Question is-  what might be the best Titleist driver configurations for a 90mph swingspeed?

  2. Hi Todd -

Glad to hear you gave our clubs a try even after being discouraged.  A 90 mph swing speed would generally be a better fit for a regular flex shaft but swing speed is not the best indicator for which of the 3 driver heads will perform best.  Ball speed, spin rate, launch angle and ball flight are the most important factors when determining which head is the better fit.  Our recommendation would be to find a local Titleist fitting center outfitted with a SureFit cart and schedule a proper fitting to find the best Titleist driver combination for you.  You may call us directly at 1-888-Titleist or visit www.FittingWorks.com to locate your nearest fitting center.

    Good luck!
