It was at 2:00pm, May 5th, @Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena where I checked in for my appointment. I was greeted with a warm welcome by Titleist rep, Ken Lewis whom I've met before, but he didn't recognize nor remember me....which I think was good, but he fitted me for a driver prior so I knew his work and I love-love my Titleist driver.

We got down to business right away. He asks me simple questions about my set and its loft/lie any adjustments, shaft, including what ball I play...etc. He then got a couple set of four wedges and asked me to hit chips and pitches as many types of shot I would play without knowing what SM6 type they are, and said to set aside which ever one jumps out in feel, performance/results I favor as he made notes to himself from watching me. He also got a bag full of shiny Pro V1x for me to hit. (Sweet!)

Not only had I felt important, I was a little nervous. (LOL). But Ken was great in making me feel relaxed.

The two high lofted wedges I set aside matches with what was in his notes- no surprise, he said, and then he described what type of wedge player I am, and I couldn't argue. He really knows his stuff, this guy, Ken. Then He had me hit the two high lofted clubs again as confirmation- I'm guessing. We then moved onto the gap wedge; he had me hit some full shots, half, chips...and with that and the other two high lofted wedges the composition was complete.

The 45 minutes went quick but I still want to get fitted with hybrids. We got started with the H1, but I wasn't able to hit the H2 because I had to go.

If there's one thing I could say for anyone who have not tried fitting, go and have it done. You will enjoy it and you'll gain the knowledge of what club is correct for you.

Bonus: I was able to try the driver & iron in the new C line. Ken had to pry it off me.
