917d3 lie angle

    I have a 917d3 in 9.5 with the adila rogue max s/65 shaft in it. I had draw bias weight in it and found that instead of helping with my fade/slice it was making it more pronounced so I have switched to neutral weight, now wondering if I should adjust lie angle to -.75 as this is what my irons are. The only concern is that per the chart this says it will be more fade biased which I do not want. And yes I am planning lessons and my past driver was a png G in 10.5 with tour 65 shaft that went dead straight. Any thoughts?

    If you can get on a monitor and see your flight and let an expert look at it with you and see what fits with your swing.

    Were you fit for the driver or just setting up yourself?
    What weight are you using as it may be you need a heavier or lighter weight in there, you could also try tweeking the loft up to near your old loft
    See the chart (its for the 915 but sure it's the same) see if that helps.

    I went through the same only with my 915 hybrid ( now set at C2 ) which I now hit straight or with small fade again

    Since you don't often hit a driver off the turf, it is my iunderstanding that you should not match your lie angle to your irons. It really just comes down to finding which setting works best for you and gives you the ball flight you want.

    Hi Dave it wouldn't hurt to try adjusting the lie, Many club pro's believe all your clubs in your bag should be at the same lie. Once you adjust your driver try setting your club at C4 if you are right handed if left B1.
