I was excited to go to a Big Demo Day event at a local course. I got there early so to be sure I would have a chance to get fitted. The place I went to of course was to the Titleist area as I was excited to hit and get fitted for a 917 Driver and especially the AP2 716's. I currently hit the 913D2, 915 Hybrids, AP2 712 irons, and SM6 wedges. I was quite disappointed there were no lefty clubs to hit except for non-adjustable standard AP2 irons and no woods or hybrids at all. They did have some lefty VOKEY SM6'S but I already bought new SM6 wedges for this season. I will say no purchase was made as I will be hoping for a chance to hit the clubs outdoor again as I don't really care for matts. When I was stationed in Hawaii I was fitted outdoors for my current clubs so I am still hoping for the same.

If you can find a Titleist Thursday and schedule a time, verify the representative does have the LH heads. That'd be my expectation. You'll get the personal attention that even if there were LH heads at the demo, it stiil wouldn't be the same.
  4. I feel your pain James. I have been trying to get my hands on a left handed 917 D3 to hit and hopefully purchase. Nobody has one. I don't understand with such a large population of lefties why it's so difficult to demo clubs. They spec them as being available; why aren't they? Even a major retailer like Golf Town has the great fitting centeres but don't seem to have the full range product. No fault of them. I have a hard time paying $700 for a club I can't even try. I have since given up and have decided to keep my one and only club that's not a Titleist...

I'm very surprised to hear this. The standard fitting kit has all of the clubheads in lefty.
  6. I feel your pain. I ordered left T-MB's 6 weeks ago, still no word on when I will be getting them. I have emailed and called multiple times just to check and see if there is a delay or hold up and the most I got was "if the products are in house it shouldnt take too long to make and then ship". Thats it. :(
  7. Yeah, as a lefty I would know. Lefty drivers are very hard to find in stores, I normally just order wedges and drivers or woods online because I feel as if I would be wasting my time going to a store/pro shop.

Very disappointing James. As a fellow left handed person, I have experienced similar situations too often. In fact, I often have to demo clubs by ordering a left handed club with a local golf shop who knows the difficulty with having left handed clubs and then if I don't like the club I can return it. This is a real hassle and I have to invest funds ahead of a real purchase, but I otherwise find it extremely difficult to have a real selection of left handed clubs to try.

Hi James, I am very sorry to hear that. All of our Titleist Product Specialists should have a full case of LH heads for the drivers, fairways, hybrids and irons as well as built SM6 wedges and irons. Please give us a call and we will contact the local PS in the area to see where he will be so that you can hit the new 917 driver as well as the AP2 irons. Our number is: 888-TITLEIST.
