  1. I'd like to order a 917 F2 13.5 Degree, shortened to 42". If I order it with the 18G weight, rather than the stock weight, what will the swingweight be? Do you have another recommendation to get the swingweight back to where it should be? How much weight do I need to add to get the swingweight back?

    Thank you.

  2. Just order with the desired swing weight and they can weight the head at the factory.

Hi, If you shorten any metalwood club (driver, fairway, hybrid) 1/2", we can use the heaviest weight and with the standard grip at standard size, we can get back to the stock swingweight for that shaft. If you cut it more than 1/2", you are looking at 2-3 swingweights lighter than that swingweight unless you make some adjustments using a lighter weight grip. A light weight Tour Velvet will get back about 5 swingweights so if you don't want to change weights, you can cut it 1" and ask for the light Tour Velvet. What ever you do, make sure you ask for the specific swingweight you are looking for when the order is placed with us (within tolerance). They will give your pro all the options at that time.
Just to clarify - If you just say standard swingweight, that means that with the components you have listed (shortened shaft, smaller or bigger grip, different grip, etc.), whatever the build comes out to - so its not the same thing as the stock swingweight with standard length, shaft, flex, grip and grip size.
