I've been playing golf for 56 years. In all that time, I've been a voracious reader about anything related to the game. Until now, I have never heard about shortening a driver to increase distance and accuracy, though the accuracy part probably makes sense.
How do you folks feel about this concept? Has anyone tried it?
Just because I have some spare clubs around, I'm tempted to cut an inch off one of the drivers and one of the 3 woods to see whether it really makes any difference to me. I have some lead tape to work on the swing weight if need be and I'm not going to touch my favorite driver or 3 wood for the moment.
Your thoughts???
Thanks,
Dennis
