    Hi,

I'm not too sure if there's a need for a shaft change. I am currently using 910D2 10.5 with Kai'li Regular Flex shaft. I bought this club a couple of months back and since then i have improve on my swing. When the fitter did a basic fitting for the driver, he recommended that i take the Regular FLex Kai'li. It was approx 90mph swing speed or club head speed. (sorry, im not sure about the difference)

Recently, i headed down to Golfsmith to do some random swing with a driver, the monitor captured 105-110mph speed on my swing. Obviously i have increase my swing speed. But the problem is, i think the trajectory in my drive is too high. i've changed the setting to D2 and still have a high trajectory. my preferred ball placement is right in line with my left heel. I typically drive off around 230-260. ( i know there is still room for improvement on my swing. still inconsistent) i have only been playing golf for 6mths.

Ddo you think its a shaft issue? too much flex that is causing the high trajectory or the kick point of the shaft is not right for me? should i change to a stiff flex? what are the options of shaft for me?

It so happens for my irons too. i was a 80-90mph iron swing using AP2 with TT Dynamic Gold HL Regular Flex. after increasing in swing speed, i;m losing yardage and ball flight is getting higher.

    Please help...

    For reference,

    Driver -230-260, 7iron-150-155(160-165), PW-120-125(130-135)

Old yardage in (). On average i;m losing 10yds per club.

Best advise I can give you is to go get fitted by an authorized Titleist Fitter who can give you the precise specs you need for your driver and irons.  It will be well worth your time and effort to do this! Also without seeing your swing, as there are too many variables that may be causing you to launch the ball high, any recommendations would probably not be exact.  Go get Fit!

  3. Can I take the fubuki 63 out of cobra z and put into a 910?

Assuming you have a surefit tour hosel, no problem!

910 drivers do have the SureFit hosel. But does that really affect shaft options? In terms of a shaft that suits my swing speed/tempo.

Second that notion...go to a Titleist Advanced fitter found at www.fittingworks.com.

In general, sounds like you have too much loft either in the clubs, or created by your swing through impact.

are fitters at Golfsmith (fitters i got off www.fittingworks.com) reliable? i'm afraid they are kinda sales driven. What about Cool Clubs in Scottsdale? I'm actually located in Tucson so its pretty near for me. So do you guys think Golfsmith is good enough.

Highly recommmend Cool Clubs over Golfsmith.  They aren't "Titleist centric" but they'll find something for you...hopefully a Titleist!

    Hi there,

Hope I can help, Its only my opinion however, if you go back to your Titleist fitter, he may only have a small proportion of the shafts Titleist offer, including all flexes, they do offer some 240 in total, not just the ones in the fitting carts. Obviously a fitter cannot hold 240 shafts in stock, its not practical, however, by doing your research into all the shafts offered by Titleist on their website you may get a good idea of the shafts you would like to try from their shaft offerings, when you have a list, go to your fitter or Titleist direct and ask them if you could try these shafts you have listed, they are all there for you to try out if you ask, I am sure Titleist would be delighted to send them out to your pro, or put them on a Fitting van for you, to try at a local fitting day near you.

    Good luck

Jason is correct that all fitting locations do not have all of the shafts in our custom matrix on site. In the US, the fitting experiences with the most extensive array of fitting shafts are the Titleist Tour Fittings, FittingWorks Tour Vans, and Regional Fitting Centers. Cathi and Nick from the Titleist club support team are always happy to help direct you to the appropriate fitting experience and may be reached at 1-888-TITLEIST.

One further note regarding shaft fitting with 910. The dual-angle adjustability of the SureFit Tour hosel allows Titleist's skilled fitters to fine-tune loft, lie angle, or both in order to optimize launch conditions for each golfer. Prior generation metals relied on differences in shaft construction for this optimization. Players are now able to choose from several different shafts with the appropriate weight and flex and the player's preferred feel and can know with confidence that they are being fit for optimal launch conditions. By way of illustration, ten of the 80+ shafts in the Titleist matrix have accounted for 80% of the initial custom orders for 910 drivers.

As always, let us know if you have any other questions about Titleist golf clubs or club fitting.

I'm always interested in the data and the business side of things!

We might have to add the RIP 70 to the Studio.  ;)

  14. Hi, The Titleist Diamana Ahina 72 ? I have seen this shaft sell for $300.00 plus sold seperately. Does Mitsubishi make a cheaper version for Titliest ? I've had my Ahina 72 for 8 months and it's making cracking sounds. Thank you, robert
