I cannot find the swing speed recommendations for these shafts anywhere.  Can someone help?  I just recently spent several hours testing all different clubs and decided to get with the AP1. I typically am a regular shaft, but the demo clubs at the shop only had these available in a stiff.  Surprisingly I hit them well, straight and just as far as the Uniflex on the Razr.  I have hit many stiff's before and these were no where near the feel of a DG stiff.  The sales guy said these shafts are more similar to the Uniflex shafts so I decided to order them in stiff since I was hitting them well.  I had to order them from Titleist to get a 1 degree upright.  Now as time passes I am second guessing I bought the right shaft.

Can anyone help?  My swing speed is not very fast, typically around 75-78mph.

Hey Brian, I have the ap2s in 105t stiff and they are good for me. I have a slow tempo swing so I was fit for a lightweight shaft. I still wanted some weight there so the 105t was a good fit. The DGs are much to heavy for most people. Your best bet is to get fit by a authorized Titleist fitter. Good Luck.

Thanks Jack.  I did get fitted by Golfsmith but just questioned it because it went against everything I have read and been told about stiff shafts.  I went to another golf store here and they recommended the stiff too and said the same thing as you did as the reason since they are not your typical shaft because they are lighter.  Again it just seems odd.  They felt great and had better distance than my current DG regular shafts.  Nippons are just 3 grams heavier as a stiff version.  Just second guessing my choice..LOL...

Thanks again.  Your post made me feel better about my choice.

Don't rely on answers here- find a good fitter that will fit u outdoors using a monitor and real Pro V 1 golf balls. THE ONLY way! Steve Ball PGA Master Professional Okc, Oklahoma

Thanks Scott.  I was hoping someone from Titleist would answer since they should have this information somewhere.  Even on the Nippon site there is no information on the 105T.  As you said best thing is to get fitted with a launch monitor which I did, I just did not trust it I guess because of my slower swing.  I just could not see myself getting a stiff shaft in an iron.  Sometimes I get too caught up in the technical aspect vs real life... :-)

    The fitter used Srixon...Booo!

I totally agree. I have a fast swing speed (>100) and I was fitted for these shafts. I went to an advanced fitter, hit Pro V1's outside with a launch monitor. I didn't know what shafts I was hitting. The fitter gave me a club, I swung, we looked at the ball flight, the numbers, I told him how it felt, he made some adjustments and we went from there and continued on until we got the right combo. I ended up with the AP2s with the 105ts. I hit the MB too (as well as R9 and i15s) but this combo felt best to me. For what it's worth, I am a high ball hitter and these shafts don't make my ball flight balloon or lose distance or anything. I guess the moral of my story is that while on paper, I should be using these shafts, they worked well on the range (and subsequently on the course). So, go see a fitter and be open to anything. I suppose it was good that I didn't really do much research on the shafts before I went, I just was going in trusting my feel, my desired trajectory and most importantly, the fitter....
