I wanted to say hats off to the West Coast FittingWorks Tour Van Crew.  I just had a driver fitting yesterday with Erik Brown at Mayacama Golf Club, and what an experience.  I have been fit before at a local golf shop, but nothing like actually getting fit from the company who makes the product.

I actually did my fitting somewhat backwards, as I had already purchased the Titleist 910D3 (9.5) with the Diamana 'Ahina stiff shaft.  I did this since I was in the market for a new driver and just kept trying different configurations of the new drivers at my local club.  This was the one that I liked the best...yet, knew I could probably be refined more with a proper fitting...

My fitting started by me hitting about a half dozen drives with my driver as it was when I showed up, standard settings across the board...when hit well, love the results, but my misses were off...high right or low left.

Erik then handed me a 910D3 (9.5) with another shaft and asked me to hit another half dozen...he didnt want me to look at the shaft, nor look at the setting, and I was fine with that...figured I would put myself in his hands, and be open minded...hopefully he wouldnt tell me that I purchased the wrong driver!

immediately the drives went longer and much more consistent ball flight...

He asked me what I thought was the difference.  Of course I said..."the shaf?"  Nope... he said the shaft he put in was equal in specs to the 'Ahina...  Ok, so was it the setting?  Nope...  It was the length.  This was actually 1" shorter than my driver...

So I got back on the monitor with my driver, choked up 1" and I gained 10 yards of carry, 19 yards overall, my spin dropped from 3500rpm to 2400rpm...and my dispersion was MUCH tighter. 

So we decided best to have my shaft cut 1", and the head weight adjusted to fit the shorter shaft...

The results were amazing!
