I am about 5 feet 4 inches, and choke down on all of my clubs about a an inch and a half. Is this a bad thing because it doesnt seem to effect my distance, my average drive is around 240?

Proper length for everyone is very important. With proper length, flex, and weight you have the best chance of producing consistent shots. I would certainly test clubs that are different lengths to determine which feels most comfortable and produces the best results. Find a local Titleist fitter and take the time to get what you need.

Choking down is an option - sort of a feel thing for the player. Playing with correct length makes on-center hits much more likely. I would prefer the player have the correct length of shaft so they do not have to choke down, but that is your preference.
