I'm heading out to the local Golf Tec branch near me. I'll be having a set analysis. I play all Titleist clubs (very loyal to it). I wonder if anyone else has gone thru this "set analysis"? Any opinions and feedbacks...

Yep, If it is indoors off of mats you cannot be sure of the distances. I assume by set analysis you mean set make up.... so a big part of that is carry distances, launch angles and spin rates on long irons versus hybrids... and you CANNOT do that from mats into a net. Your fitter should also be referencing the ball flight charts on long game, irons and 3 metals found in the Titleist club fitting manual. If he doesn't and you have to do this indoors find someplace else that offers these things.

Carlo, that sounds like a blast. I wish we had some place close to do such things.
I've thought about getting a launch monitor, one of them cheapys, that you hook up to your computer, which means I have to buy a laptop because I don't have anyplace inside to swing a club.
Hitting off a mat would be great to get launch angles, ball velocity, swing speeds, and spin rates. Thats the stuff you need know to maximize performance.
hey John,
What I've also been doing is clocking my distances in the course as well. I downloaded one of those smartphone apps that measure your distances. Just select the club your hitting, press start where you hit then mark it again where your ball lands. It pretty much gives you the distances. I believe it is very important to know how long you hit each clubs.
