I play my irons a half inch shorter from standard from a fitting when I was using Cobras. I was fitted based on only a 6 iron. At the time there were no adjustments needed on the lie angle

I cut down my AP1 710 as well.

Should I also cut my wedges the same amount? What about my hybrids?

My wedges are 54* and 58* and use the W wedge from the AP1 set which is 50* and that is cut down 1/2" as well

    I have a 19* 24* adjusted to 23.25* and my 5i is 26* (standard on AP1)

    Thanks!

You'd think that if standard length is meant to fit standard length throughout the set, then .5 inch short should fit throughout the set.

But my irons are .5 inch long, while my woods, hybrids, and wedges are standard, and seems to work ok for me.

But I'm still trying to figure out how it works that the driver being more upright than the 3w works, since the driver shaft is longer and normally the ball is off the ground, everything says the driver should be at a flatter lie angle.

GREG, I HAVE LONG LEGS AND LONG ARMS, AND HAVE FOUND THAT IF YOU DO ANY ADJUSTING TO YOUR CLUBS YOU CHANGE THE SWING WEIGHT OF THE CLUB. IT MIGHT NOT EFFECT THE PLAY OF YOUR IRON SET(3 THRU PW) BUT I THINK IT EFFECTS THE PLAY OF YOUR DRIVER AND WEDGES MOSTLY. TRY CHOCKING UP ON THE CLUBS YOU WANT TO CUT FIRST AND SEE HOW THEY MIGHT PLAY LENGTH WISE. I THINK I WOULD BEND THE CLUBS FIRST BEFORE CUTTING THEM. ITS MORE OF WHAT FEELS GOOD AT ADDRESS AND YOUR FREEDOM TO MOVE YOUR BODY WITH THE SHORT WEDGES. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE FOUND HOPE IT HELPS
