I recently purchased a stock 910 D2 with Diamana stiff shaft. With my previous driver (different brand), I had been fitted with a ProForce V2 shaft (which I am quite fond of). Clubmaker at store where I purchased my new 910 D2 said that all 910 D2 reshafting had to go through Titleist. Can you provide any details on how best to do this? Do I purchase shaft and send along with my driver? Is there anyone in Texas who can do this (to avoid putting my new possession in the mail)? Thanks, Tim in Houston, TX

Hi Tim,  You can purchase a "shaft only" order and it will come with a surefit tip and a weight to bring it to swingweight.  Any account can order it for you and give you pricing.  We do carry the V2 in house so it would be about 3 days before it ships.

You mention that "any account can order it....". Can you be more specific? Do I order this through Titleist? Or can I order through a local golf retail outlet? Thanks again, Tim B.

Hi Tim,  We don't have any direct orders.  You can order it through any local golf retail shop or at your pro shop at the golf course.  If your local shop sells Titleist golf balls, they will have an account with us and can place that shaft order for you.

  5. I am looking to get the new Project X Black shaft in my 910 D3, currently it is not listed in your booklet, so I was wondering A) when will it be available? and B) if it does not become available through Titleist how can I get it?

    Thanks,

    William

The Project X black shaft is one that we are currently testing, but has not yet passed and been approved for use.  Our shaft testing protocol is probably one of the most rigorous in the industry and it is a process that can take 4 wks on up depending on how fast the vendor gets the shafts to us for testing.  If it does not become available, it may be because it does not pass these tests in our heads and/or the vendor has requested that it be "tour only".  We have many shafts in the low 60 to high 50 gram weighting, and you may want to check with a fitter to see if you can find an alternate shaft to work for you.  Here is a shaft list and if you do not see a shaft on the list, give us a call and we can take a look for you.  http://media.titleist.com/images/titleist/pdfs/US/2011/flipbook/2011_Winter_Custom_Option/html/index.html

    Hi Cathi,

Can you please let me know if there is an update on the Project x black? Its been more than 4 weeks!!! Some people have an affiliation with a particular brand! Most times its the perception that one brand is better than the other, probably why Titleist spend so much on Marketing!!

    Thank you in advance

    Peter
