I JUST DEMODE THE D.3 8.5 LOFT , TRIED AHINA 72 FOR TITLEIST AND THE 7C3 PROJECT X SHAFTS. THE AHINA BALL FLIGHT WAS TOO LOW 7C3 WAS GREAT JUST LOOKING FOR MORE DISTANCE . WHAT CUSTOME SHAFT WOULD PERFORM LIKE THE 73C AS FAR AS TRAJECTORY AND GET SOME EXTRA YARDS.

  2. Hi Todd -

You need to figure out where you can improve your numbers to help max out your distance.  Launch angle, spin rate and ball speed will determine where you can find more distance.  Do you have these numbers from your fitting? Both with the Ahina and the Project X?

  3. I was fitted for the Tour AD shaft but really didnt want to pay the upcharge on that shaft. My fitter said the Project X 7C3 is pretty close to the Tour AD shaft. I ordered the project X and havent been happier with this club. I am crushing tmy 910 D3 an average of 290 and hit one next to a green yesterday, 310 yards away. This club/shaft combo is amazing. I would buy the project X without hesitation. As a good I bought an extra shaft (Insert eye roll about the upcharge comment) and went with the Aldila RIP 60 Stiff.....this shaft is great too but not as lively as the project X. You can actually feel the project X shaft release at the right time and the ball explodes off the face of the D3. its the best club ive ever owned. I am playing the RIP shaft tomorrow and will hope for the best

First off im stoked on my first Titleist driver. I picked up the 910 d3 9.5. Ive been playing in the A1 setting.  I went into my local golf shop and tried both the d2 and d3. I went with the d3 for the feel and the lower launch.  I have been gaming the driver for about 2 weeks 4 rounds and a dozen times on the range.  I went with the Ahina shaft made for.  The thing I have also found is that I am having a hard time getting the ball up in the air. When I connect I get a lower ball flight with a ton of roll. Im hitting an average of 280 give or take. I would like some suggestions on a shaft also.  I have a 108 SS average.  Any suggestions would be a real help. I am tempted to try the project x from reading the earlier posts on this.  I will problably have to swing down to the local shop to swing some more shafts. I may have jumped on the ahina a bit to quickly out of excitement.
