I had the opportunity of test driving the R11 and the 910D2. Both in Regular and Stiff Shaft. I hit the R11 further in the Regular than both of the 910D2. But! Always have to have a but! Man I was sooo accurate with the Titleist. Other issue is the R11 was a 10.5 and the 910 was 9.5. The Titleist Shafts used were the Kai' Li. Golf Galaxy didn't provide me the launch numbers etc but said my swing speed was mid 90's. Going by feel.. I chose the Regular shaft. I felt I got more pop on the ball and definitely more Distance. Dispersion seemed very good. I'm just worried I should have bought Stiff. My last driver was a Cleveland XL270 and while I mashed it sometimes, was not very accurate with it. I compared torque specs on both and the Cleveland is 6.4 compared to the 5.0 of the Regular Kai Li. I would have loved to have been properly fitted and probably over the winter I may have time to do so while the kids are in school. If all else fails I can swap out with the companies 30 day playability program. But I think the Kai Li Regular will be fine. Please tell me I didn't make the wrong decision.

    Danny,

It sounds like you made the correct decision. The R flex is going to work with your swing. With the S flex you are going to have to swing hard to make it kick properly and work for you.

    Good choice.

Back to the drawing board and hope you guys are out there for a some quick help. I played two rounds with my new driver and I am just wowed by it. Amazing is all I can say. BUT I have some questions with my shaft choice and future shaft choice. I'm going to discuss distance first. I started my new driver out at the 12* first setting closed setting. I am getting ALL carry at that setting with a consistent distance of 245 yards. The ball is literally a yard back from the ball mark. I'm ok to start out with that. I then began lowering the loft one setting at a time. Still a ballooning ball shape with little roll out. Until I get down to 9.75* loft. At this point I am really getting confident with my new swing and can just go after it. On the back 9 last night I caught it in the sweet spot and I was out to a conservative 260. Probably longer but forgot to hit the measure button on my gps. I'm guessing closer to 270 by looking at Golfshot on my iPad. My issue with the distance is I think I am still getting a pretty high shot. I think I may be pushing the limits of the Reg Flex Shaft and the 5.0 Torque rating. But distance is only half my battle.

Accuracy. This things really impresses me with accuracy. I'm sure between my new swing and this driver I am hitting the best I ever have. If my shot is not straight down the middle with a draw, it's straight left with a draw. It could be my setup which I don't think it is for once or it could be the High Torque Rating of the shaft and the flex. What's your thoughts? Also going with the info provided I'm guessing my new swing path and confidence I was able to increase my swing speed to around 105 give or take?

At this point I am looking at putting those shots more down the middle and less down the left side. Distance I am happy with but squeezing even more out of this Driver is still not out of the question. With what I am posting here with distances, shot shape, direction, etc. Could you help me narrow down a shaft choice. I am considering the Stiff 'ahina or even the RIP 60 or the Project X Tour X 7C3. I am also considering going with the 9.5 head as apposed to my current 10.5 On that note are they identical? I don't want to lose that confidence I get from the 10.5 Maybe just by putting a stiffer lower torque shaft in would lower things enough with out switching heads out also. I also don't want the shaft choice to take my baby draw that away I found. Just tighten up my shot dispersion. I'll take left slightly in trouble then the right definitely in trouble from a slice. Please help! lol

Well after looking at my golf supplier online, only the Titleist Made For Shafts come with the 10.5 head. So if I want one of the premium shafts I'll have to go 9.5 anyways. My new swing is quite simple. I suffered horribly with slices since starting 3 years ago. I'd get rid of it and then it would come back with a vengeance. So I tried dropping my back foot (right) 6 inches towards my back. Not widening my stance. Does that make sense? Anyway it has allowed me to really go after the ball aggressively. I went from hitting 235-245 drives to 245 plus yard drives with some up near 270. All I can say is I am still smiling. Guy I was playing against last night really put one out there in the middle. Everyone was raving about it. I went after my tee shot aggressively and put my on his line 20 yards further. As if to say take that. Lol. He wasn't happy.

Hi Danny,  Not sure what "online" golf company you contacted, but you can order any shaft with the 10.5° head, not just our stock shafts.

Update to my situation. I called Team Titleist soon after Cathi's reply and low and behold I spoke to Cathi. Cathi thank you for your time and patience. During our conversation we last spoke of an alternate shaft to try out. I chose the Aldila RIP 60 Stiff. I was scared to death. Everyone saying how stout a shaft it is, etc, etc, etc. I love it! A little stiff but not overwhelming. My ball flight is much better and I was getting decent roll out compared to the Kai Li Regular. I feel like I have to go after it but that's how I am with my driver. I am hitting about 240 on the fly from what I can see. I will confirm that tomorrow with my gps. I was rolling out nicely past the 250. If I can get 250 plus a little consistently. I'm happy! For those that have a swing speed 100-105. It's a good choice. I think at my old 95, I'd lose considerable distance with the RIP 60 Stiff.

My swing speed with the driver is about 104, I went with the Aldila Rip Alpha Stiff and an 8.5* head. I have the head set to +.75 so the resultant loft is 9.25*

It's complete bliss and I love it!

I'm very impressed with my new setup. I need to get out and work on things. I think I have a poor angle of attack. I'm putting to much spin on the ball. It's going very high and little roll out still. But man am I smashing this driver. At some point my swing speed really jumped. About 10 mph. It's like where did this come from. The RIP 60 is sweet!
