I think the fitting was correct but the shaft is horrible and does not fit-HELP!!!

    I received a fitting during a fitting day from a local guy in Indy and  the launch monitor said I accuracy and distance. The result of the fitting was a D3 head with 10.5* of loft and a STOCK Ahina  72 gram shaft in an x-flex.

    I received the club yesterday and it is clearly not the same shaft. I can hit my old driver straighter and longer. And, the ball with the D3 dives out of the sky as a weak fade. I have not gained the distance or accuracy displayed the day of my fitting and now I am out $400.

    Has anyone else encountered this shocking difference among fitting results and product received? Thanks for your help in advance.

    Were you fitted indoors into a net or outside on  a range?  Also what kind of golf balls were being used during the fitting?

    I have had a similar experience. I was fitted for the D2 with the illia shaft, reg flexand set at C4. When I bought this club and took it to the range, all I could hit were "sky hooks". Got the blue stock shaft and the results are exactly the same. I don't know if the shafts I was fitted with were Titleist "stock" like thr ones I bought but they sure did hit different. This driver is of no use to me now.

    Please allow me to provide an update from my post...The Titleist team is working diligently on fixing my problem. I am going back to the same fitter with the same launch monitor and we are going to look at the results. Once I do get those results, I will provide an update. I am slightly skeptical because I think the fitting was mostly accurate but will not let that affect the outcome. Positive or negative, I will provide the results.
