I got ot a sleeve of test balls but due to the weather,i just got a chance to use them. Are these the new ProVs? Got a chance to play them and they are great. I would love to test more proto types. The only ball I play is the ProV 1X. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to participate.

    Hi Ira,

To answer your question, Yes the balls that were sent out are the Pro V1 series. From what ive been abe to find out is if you received a sleeve with black numbers then they were the Pro V1x and the ones with red numbers are Pro V1. I hope you enjoyed testing the balls and have had some awesome rounds with them. Team Titleist for Life.

    Respectfully, Manny M.

    Hi guys,

Just to clarify, the golf balls that were sent out for the test panel were test golf balls that are part of our ongoing R&D process.  As you can imagine, we are constantly developing prototype golf balls and through the evaluation process we review the feedback we receive to continue along the R&D path.

    Thanks a lot.

I received a sleeve of prototype balls as well. Played them yesterday and my own opinion is that they felt more comfortable off the tee with the driver, respond incredibly with the irons and by far the cover is way more durable. Hope to get to test more prototypes in the future. All around great stuff.

Thanks for allowing me to be apart of  the test process. I enjoyed trying out the new ball and even let a fellow TT member who didn't receive them  use them one in a round. I leave him nameless but i have slowly converted him from cally to titleist. again thanks for the opportunity. and look forward to any other chances i might have to do things like this.

cheers greens and fairways to all

    Mike,

Does that mean the test balls are not the 2013 balls that are currently for sale?

  7. Team Titleist Staff

    Hi Jim,

The test golf balls that were sent out in our latest product test panel were just test golf balls. As I noted above, our golf ball R&D is an ongoing process and the team is always developing prototype golf balls for evaluation.

    Thanks for the post.

    Hi Ricky,

All Team Titleist members are considered when we have opportunities like this but the final selection will vary depending on the test panel.

We make every effort to include as many Team Titleist members as possible in these opportunities, but as you can imagine, we unfortunately are not able to include everyone in every test panel.

Also, the more you participate and the more engaged you are with Team Titleist, from posting in the discussions and adding blog comments to completing your profile, the better your chances are at potentially opening the doors to these Team Titleist opportunities.

Thanks again and have a great day.

I would LOVE to test some of the new golf balls, but not sure how to get on that list! If I can that would be awesome, though. Big fan of Pro VI.

I had the chance to try the test balls. I don't think I have hit a ball that I liked better. If I knew what they were I would absolutely buy a few dozen. They were long off the tee and really responded well off the wedges. T.T thanks for the chance to test, and I am looking forward to another chance.

I agree! I have played Pro V1 or Pro V1x since they were first introduced. I don't know how Titleist does it but it seems like they improve the ball with each iteration.

I am 100% in love with the 2013 Pro V1x. Best Titleist ball to date and that's saying A LOT!

I was able to test some balls last fall. The ones I was sent were amazingly longer off my 910D2 driver. Consistently 15 yards longer. I set my new best round score of 76 that day. (36/40) Also my first time for 9 holes at par or better. I've been playing ProV1x balls since it has warmed up here in the West Texas desert. 300+ off the driver. Its awesome.

I was lucky enough to receive a sleeve of balls but I didn't receive them until it was already rather cold here in NW Ohio and Didnt get a chance to test them yet I still have the balls sitting in my bag new and ready for play.  My question is since I didn't fill out the survey about them do I have less of a chance to be selected again to try new equipment in the future?  Also should I still fill out the info after this winter weather breaks and I finally get a chance to give them a good evaluation?  Or is it too late and it would no longer matter?  I felt pretty privileged to have the chance to be apart of the testing process and hope that ill be selected again in the future!

    Hey Manny,

I think you got the colors backward. I play Pro V1, they have black numbers. My Dad plays Pro V1x, they have red numbers.

    Prototype balls were no different.

I tested a sleeve also a couple months ago.  They weren't too far off from the 2012 ProV1x, but I noticed that they didn't scuff up as badly even after playing the same one for 18 holes.  Cover must be a little more durable than the previous model.
