I'm not sure how all this works but I was just wondering on how I could get some prov1x golf balls for a good price

Well Marshall,
You can go to your local Pro Shop on the 14th of this month and Titleist has a buy three dozen, get one dozen free for a final cost of about $37.00 per dozen for the new 2013 ball. You get a bonus of having personalization done for free or numbers from 0-99 as well. That the best deal right now for new golf balls. Good luck!!

That's a better deal now than the leftover 2011 stock that is $39.99 where available and priced to sell. Large retailers have X'd out balls, not legal for competition, but are primarily cosmetic rejects. They are 29.99 a dozen.

I've had a lot of luck with Lostgolfballs.com. They are used, but the mint ones go for around $25 and they are truly mint hit only a couple times, no ink. but they might have corporate logos. I buy them all the time, and am never disappointed, just stick with the mint for playable balls.

problem with used balls is that they come from the bottom of a lake. Usually these are water-logged. Yes they are cheaper however its worth it to pony up a few more dollars to get a new dozen

Lostgolfballs FTW! Great service great product for a lot cheaper and they usually run sales and free shipping over 75 dollar orders!

there was a study about this. Balls that are in water for 8 day lose 5 YARDS. off the tee. I think titleist or some other golf company did a study on this

Daniel R, Having worked at a golf course, and having played many a golf ball from the bottom of a lake, I have found that to be not the case. If the cover of the ball is not compromised, the water will not permeate the ball.
Sorry, but this is not true. Water will eventually permeate the cover of a golf ball.
