I've played both the Pro V1 and ProVxTest balls. Neither offer the spin and control I get from previous models. However, both seem to offer more distance and durability. In fact, I played one ball for 4 rounds and the cover held up. My initial impression was that the test models were closer to the Titleist NXT's. Just my thoughts.
