I just noticed this announcment - I'm excited to get my hands on these and give them a run through on the course!
Mark FGreenville, SC
Jaggz,
I play the SoLo exclusively so I am very interested in this new ball. Where is this announcement and how do I get to it? Thanks.
Mark F.
This is the link that I came across:

Thanks.

Thanks for posting the link for the new DT balls. Can't wait to try them. Very happy to see them in Optic. Am an older golfer and keep switching between the Pro V1 and the Pinnacle Gold in optic to suit conditions. Maybe this dilemma will cease now. Thanks again LEE

I am curious about it and eager to try it. Wish I had a sample pack. I don't want to buy a box and be disappointed in the feel or distance off the tee. I also wonder if it flies high like the ProV1X.

Well, I now know what to get my wife for Christmas. Thanks for the input Chris....it sounds like the DT TruSoft is what she's been wanting for years. One question, how do y'all find it responds iron shots to greens?

Hello Chris C. This is the first I've heard of this new ball. Sounds like a great winter ball. Thanks for the good news.
Play Well,

When will these be available at golf retailers?

Excellent! I am also looking forward to comparing this ball to the NXT Tour S and Pro V1, which are the two I typically play.
All great balls and I expect the new DT to be also!
Dear Team Titleist,
I was totally surprised yesterday when I opened the mailbox and saw a small white box from Acushnet. I had a feeling that it was a sleeve of balls for testing (I've been fortunate to be able to test a couple of times in the past). I was really shocked when I opened the box and found a sleeve of the new DT TruSoft. As a player of the DT SoLo I was anxious to get the new TruSoft when it came out. I was even at the local Golfsmith store yesterday looking at a new 915F and asked the clerk when the TruSoft would be there. He thought he'd have them today (Wednesday) ready to be put out on Thursday. So when my sleeve showed up in the mail it was like karma. I will be playing tomorrow so I will test it against the SoLo as Titleist asked me to do. But if it is as soft feeling on the course as it's been putting in my living room, WOW. I would encourage anyone looking for a soft ball, give this one a go. Fairways and greens to all.
PS to Titleist: Is there any way to exchange my 3 dozen new, unused SoLos for the TruSoft? Lol !!

I am usually switching between the DT SoLo and the NXT tour S.
Please let us know tomorrow, after you play, your thoughts.

Hey guys, I played with one today. I normally play a Prov1. My wife got some in the mail to try and thought I would give one a trip around 18 holes. Nice ball. The first time I teed it up, wow. Nice carry and good feel off my hybrid. I normally tee off the first tee with a hybrid. Probably hit it about 210, which is about the same as my Prov1. Rolls great on the greens and checks up nicely. Have played the NXT Tour on occasions but never the DT Solo. For someone who plays the top line Titleist, this is a sweet ball. I would recommend it. Cheers, Chuck. P.S. May pick up a dozen for those cold days this winter.

Thank you TT , for my sleeve of testers. They will get used in a couple of days. I did run them around the putting green today and they felt great. Can't wait to test drive them.
Chris CLees Summit, MO
Yay, I got a sleeve to test, too! Thanks, Titleist. Can't wait to try them out this weekend.
Anyone know exactly how soft these new Titleist balls are? 80? 60? The compression rating. It would be easier this way so I can compare them to the DT Solo.
Thanks,
Gabe G

I am not sure how soft they are; yet after playing an easy par 3, with my 6 year old neighbor. .... playing the TruSoft and DT SOLO on each hole, it was obvious that the TruSoft are softer.
The longest club used was a pitching wedge, that went at least 10 yards further then the DTsolo, and felt great.
Excited to drive both balls and hit with various mid to long irons!!!

I'm looking forward to trying it as well. With a touch of arthritis in my hands, softer balls really help with the impact shock so I have been playing with competitor's softer balls in this same category. The issue is as Titleist recognized, there seems to be a sacrifice in distance to get softness and too much a sacrifice in short game control. I was able to adapt to these competitor ball shortcomings but it would be nice to get a ball that keeps distance and control and yet is very soft.

I have problems with my hands as well. I tried these balls and I loved the feeling both off the tee and around the greens. Went out a purchased another dozen just to make sure I had plenty to play with.
I usually play Pro V1 or TPx and just bought a dozen of these Titleist DT Tru Soft in yellow because I can lose balls in our deep rough or woods even just 3 yards off a fairway.
I will do some launch monitor tests as well vs my go to ball Pro V1 tomorrow when my back is better.
these should be good in the sub 45F temps here now on sunrise rounds !
I played 18 holes today and was super impressed and I am very hard to please.
I hit this ball about 3 yards longer than my Driver has been in the same temps but my irons were around 3% longer and were stopping on the green just as well.
MY swing speed is 98-104 and I usually average a Drive with roll around 270.... great drive today went 280 with roll... carry 247-260 on decent strikes
Only thing was on draws and fades this spun sideways a touch more than the Pro V1
Jerry,
I'm sorry to say that I was rained out before I finished 2 holes. I can tell you that the two drives I hit with the TruSoft were really nice feeling. My driver distance was about 5-10 yds. further than the SoLo. I hit one fairway metal and that felt like I was hitting a marshmallow. I also hit one shortish sand wedge and that felt great too. It checked up nicely. The putting was great. Being outside the noise level always seems muted to me, but with the TruSoft I almost couldn't hear the contact with the putter. I would recommend this ball highly based on my short test. They should be on the shelves today so I might go pick up a dozen. The only downside so far is that I have to play the three and a half doz. SoLos that I have. But that is a really nice downside to have. I'll keep you posted if I get to play anytime soon ( hurricane Joaquin is suppose to dump a bunch of rain in the western Carolinas over the next few days). Fairways and greens.
Mark F
Thanks for the feedback, sounds like my kind of ball.
This morning I also got a sleeve. Will give them a try tomorrow.
Thanks to Mike D and the others at TT for sending them to us.
Played a par 3 with both balls today, pitching wedge longest club..... I do love the way it feels putting, and with my wedges. Noticibly softer then the DTsolo, and went further. No complaints here; hope to play 9 holes tomorrow, excited to really swing at them to check them out!

Hit them today and loved, loved, loved it. Excellent distance and nice feel around the greens. The softness reminds me of the Balatas of years past. Did notice a little more run out on chips/pitches around the green than the Pro V1 I normally play but not enough to deter my future use. Thank you Titleist for giving us a soft feel ball.
Chris SWoodstock, VT
Purchased a dozen the other day and am looking forward to using them as my cold weather ball in early and late season in Vermont. I play ProV1x when it's warm or NXT Tour S. I see this as a way to be able to make contact with the club feel like 4th of July as opposed to Halloween!
Gene AWesley Chapel, FL
Bought a dozen yesterday and played 18 today with them today.. I'm pushing 50 and my swing speed isn't getting any faster so I've gradually moved into the softer ball category. DT Solo, soft feel and Q star, and most recently supersoft. I love the feel of the Supersoft, and have been playing them since they came out. When I saw the DT trusoft, I couldn't wait to give them a try.
After one round, it felt like the Trusoft was longer off the tee, I hit a few, with my driver, 20-30 yards farther than my average drives with the supersoft. They both feel great off the irons, very soft. Very impressed with the new ball.

Played one today and love it. More distance -- who doesn't love that? Great for my short game, too. I'm a fan!

I appreciate this ball to be used at the start and end of the season in the cold weather. Higher compression balls in cold weather feel like hitting a stone. I was looking for a lower compression ball to use until the end of the season and did not realize we have then. I would rather not drive anything other than a Titleist.
MMHarmon32St Louis, MO
Will we be able to get these in the Optic Yellow?
Looking forward to trying these out as my "fall ball"!
wormburnerhawaii
YEESSSSSS........ You can get this in Optic YELLOW. I bought a dozen today. I did a drop test in my garage. I held a Pro V1x (prior generation) 3 feet and drop the ball, I then dropped the new DT and it bounced a couple of inches higher.
The new DT seems to be much livelier than the ProV1s, but it doesn't matter because all Titleist balls are made with such great care and quality you can't go wrong using any Titleist ball. On an economic standpoint, you can/t beat the DT Trusofts price.
Hope I can get out soon to try these out on the course....................

Chris:
I just bought a box of he new DT soft ball and played with them the first time yesterday. I have a pretty slow swing speed and really found this ball is well suited to my swing speed. This is a great ball and I think I am going to enjoy playing them. How do other people find the ball?

Very interesting to see a softer ball being released, sounds like a great winter ball!
No'lPalmdale, CA
With the new Trusoft. Hit them just as far as the Pro V1's but just felt better off the club head and has a lower pitched sound too. Definitely will be my new ball. Anyone else out there have the same feelings?
Brendan FAmesbury, MA
Hope the ball turns out to be something that has a great feel as well. Some balls may turn out to be very soft, but not have a too great feel when making contact. But since it is Titleist, I imagine they will feel just fine.
Rogelio VillarrealAlhambra , CA
I really love playing with the Pro V1 ball because of the back spin I put on the ball. With the new DT Truesoft ball I am able to get a much more aggressive and soft feel during contact. I'm loving my short game. Thank you Titleist.
Josh MINDIANAPOLIS, IN
Has anyone played these yet? I am looking for a ball to play in the fall when the leaves can eat balls. Something a little cheaper than Prov1x but still good feel.

Played for thr 6th time on Fri with the DT Trusoft... somewhat exasperated... great LONG BALL and I mean long in all weather conditions but I have had some iron distance problems
Friday - I had exactly 137 to the middle of the green on a hole with a HUGE 140' long green.... I was in the 1st cut of rough with a great lie and hit a 9 iron (normal middled shot = 144 yards)... I flew the green which means I hit a full 9 iron over 2 clubs longer.... few holes later hit full wedge from 134 (exact distance for this club and it went 125)
SO I love the cold weather distance from Driver but hate iron inconsistency and I am great with my irons
I hurt my back Fri but next week when healthy plan a full on course and launch monitor tets vs my Pro V1x, DT TRUSOFT, TM TOur Pref X and Pro V1 on 100's of various shots
