What were the prototype balls?

    I was given the opportunity to test a sleeve of Titleist test balls back in November and I'm trying to figure out what they were because I got better performance out of them vs the 330-XS that has been in my bag for the last 2 seasons. Is there a way to find out?

    I had the same opportunity loved the balls and contacted Titleist and was told the information was not available to me. Really liked the balls and wish I knew what they were.

    Just speculation on my part, but I am guessing NXT Tour or Tour S...

    That's what I figured, as I brought one in to a Dick's Sporting Goods to try to see what cover it felt like. Now with the Pro-V1 promotion of buy 4 for the price of 3, I'm trying to decide whether to get the Tour S, or the Pro V1, as cost won't be an issue.

    I also took part in that test and was wondering the same thing. One sleeve had a triangle and one had a square, on the balls. I figured the triangle was the Pro V1x and the square was the regular Pro V1. Either way I'd like to know because the triangle ball was the best ball that I've ever hit. I wonder if they'll ever let us know.

    I received a package with two different balls. I believe the square marked ball was a Pro V1x and the triangle marked ball was a Pro V1x Tour they are thinking about releasing.

    just guessing but Titleist used to come out with the new Prov and V1X on odd calendars years and NXT S and NXT on even years being an even year likely NXT and NXT S that were released this year

    Wondering the same thing. I am down to one of the test sleeve, and wouldn't mind buying more. My guess is NXT Tour by the dimple pattern, but could be TruSoft I suppose.

    I too just got done testing some balls & absolutely loved them.Shots were nice & high off irons with a very soft feel. Preferred them over the B330 RXS. But now I want to know what balls I tested.

    Same story loved the ball I went and bought some DT true soft and they felt more like them then nxt and pro v just my opinion
